Cabarrus County Emergency Medical Services (EMS) is moving its annual Trunk-or-Treat to a bigger venue this year, taking over Frank Liske Park on Thursday, Oct. 22.
The free event runs from 4:30 to 8 p.m. at the park, 4001 Stough Road in Concord, according to a Cabarrus County announcement. Families will find themed trunks, a best-decoration contest with trophies for the top three entries and food trucks from What-A-Burger #13, Hungry Howie's and Traveling Tom's Coffee.
"We invite everyone to come and give their costumes a test run in a safe, spacious environment," said Cabarrus EMS Captain Kara Clark.
The Trunk-or-Treat is the first of three county-run Halloween events in Concord this month.
Jack O' Lantern Jaunt 5K

The first 275 registered runners receive a custom finisher medal from presenting sponsor Ground Thunder. Awards go to top overall, master and grand master finishers, plus the top three in each age group. Runners in costume can compete for a Best Dressed prize.
Packet pickup is Friday, Oct. 23, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Frank Liske Park office. Vendors will set up a trunk-or-treat-style candy station at the race.
