The Cheesecake Factory will open its third Charlotte-area restaurant at Concord Mills on Tuesday, Dec. 8, 2026, anchoring a holiday hiring push that will bring more than 300 seasonal, part-time and full-time jobs to the mall.
More than 260 of those positions are at the Cheesecake Factory alone, WCNC reported. Open roles include bartenders, bussers, cashiers, baristas, dishwashers, hosts, line cooks, prep cooks and servers. Applications can be submitted online.
A Cabarrus County building permit valued at $4.5 million was issued in August for the 7,985-square-foot space at 8111 Concord Mills Blvd., according to the Charlotte Business Journal. The space, a former Kirkland's store, is being converted into a full-service restaurant with a commercial kitchen, bar, bakery service counter, a new entry tower and a covered outdoor patio. Greensboro-based D.H. Griffin Construction Co. is the general contractor.
The Cheesecake Factory joins existing locations at SouthPark Mall and Birkdale Village in Huntersville. When the opening was announced in July, Concord Mills director of marketing Sarah Scire said the restaurant "has been on many shoppers' wish lists," according to Queen City News.
The restaurant is not the only new tenant. Women's lifestyle brand Akira has opened near the AMC movie theater, selling apparel, shoes and accessories. Gift-and-collectibles boutique Eloise Collections also opened, stocking mystery boxes, plushies, collectible cards and building kits.
The Adidas Outlet has reopened after a remodel.
Two more additions are on the way. Dubai-based luxury fragrance retailer Vresiana holds its grand opening Saturday, Oct. 17. Bubble Planet, an immersive attraction featuring a soap-foam mega bubble bath and a hot air balloon flight simulator, is also coming to the mall. Reservations open Wednesday, Oct. 28, though an exact opening date has not been announced.
Concord Mills, owned by Indianapolis-based Simon Property Group, spans 1.36 million square feet with more than 200 stores, restaurants and entertainment venues. Job seekers can apply for Cheesecake Factory positions through the company's website.
